Premier Minor Football Championship Final
Ennell Shamrocks 2-08
St. Ciarán's 3-06
Ennell Shamrocks were narrowly beaten in the final of the Minor Premier championship last Sunday at Cusack Park. It was an engrossing game from start to finish, with St. Ciaráns starting the better and leading by 1-2 to no score after fifteen minutes. Shamrocks then began to perform and by half-time they held a one point lead 1-5 to 1-4. The second half was similar to the first in that St. Ciarán's took the lead early and led for most of the second half, holding a four point advantage with five minutes remaining. Ennell Shamrocks fought on and pulled a goal back in injury time but St. Ciarán's held out for a deserved victory on a scoreline of 3-6 to 2-8.
