Club Lotto
This week's winning numbers were 1, 10, 20 and 21. There was no jackpot winner and next week's jackpot will be €3,740. It's important that the lotto is kept up during the Winter months as it is our main source of revenue. We thank everyone who has been supporting the lotto throughout the year to date.
Silver Anniversary of 1986 Winning Sides
This year marks the 25th Anniversary of Ballinagore GAA winning their second Junior Championship title, after a gap of forty-six years, and the first after re-forming in 1977. They also annexed the Junior League and Junior B Championship titles that year and were narrowly beaten in the Junior Cup final. There will be a special presentation night held to mark these remarkable achievements, in The Bodhrán Bar on Saturday 12th November. This should be a great night of nostalgia and re-acquaintance for the players, supporters and families involved, many of whom will not have met for many years. It promises to be a special evening so come along and show your appreciation for the past heroes of our community.
Cumann Na mBunscoil
Ballinagore NS Boys played their third game in this years competition against Loughnavally in Loughnavally last Friday afternoon. The boys led at half time by 5-3 to 2-1 but Loughnavally had a resurgence in the second half and pushed Ballinagore all the way scoring two late, late goals to snatch a draw on a scoreline of Ballinagore NS 8-4, Loughnavally NS 7-7. The boys next game will be after the mid-term break. Team: Lee Lawlor, Ciara Lee Carey, Fiachra Heeney (Capt.), Finian Heeney, Nathan Brudell, Pádraig Kane, Ciarán O'Brien 1-0, Darragh Seery 2-0, Eoin Deegan 4-2, Jamie Hogg 1-2. Subs: Mark Killian, Peter Reynolds, Eleanor O'Connor.
Scór Na nÓg
Preparations are well underway for this years' Scór Na nÓg competitions. The first rounds for Ballinagore GAA and Ballinagore Ladies take place on Friday 4th November in Coole, and Friday 11th November in Ballymore.
Bonn Voyage
Best of luck to Triona Durkan, Niamh Durkan and Edel McCormack who have departed for Australia recently.
Welcome Home
Welcome home to Ger Linnane who has returned from Australia on holidays and will be here for a couple of weeks. The sad thing is that when he leaves he will bring yet another member of the village with him in Tommy McDaniel, who is going to visit Australia also.
