The boys were first into action and led by 2-5 to 1-3 at half time with Castletown pushing them all the way. The second half was much the same with Ballinagore just converting an extra score or two to keep ahead of the chasing Castletown boys. It finished 5-8 to 3-4 in Ballinagore's favour and they go on to play Castledaly in their final group game this Wednesday at 2pm in Castledaly. Ballinagore Set Dancers took part in the semi-finals of the competition at The Downs last Saturday night. This young group represented the club excellently and brought great entertainment to all present. We were represented by Katie Kirby, Fiona Bray, Caroline Kelly, Stephanie Brudell, Déarbhla O'Connor, Ciara Daly, Eleanor O'Connor, Mary Reynolds. Thanks to Maura Finn for her hard work in preparing the dancers for the stage and to the mentors for helping them along the way.
Social Dancing
Social Dancing classes return to The Bodhrán this Wednesday night at 9pm. All are welcome.
There were two errors in the notes regarding the 1986 team. One was stating that Ballinagore had won the Junior league when in fact it was the Junior Cup, and the other was the date of the Junior B final, which was actuallly won in July, and not September as stated last week.
