This week's winning numbers were 10, 12, 23 and 27. There was no jackpot winner and next week's jackpot will be €2,140.
Under 16 Championship
The 16's were beaten in the quarter final of the championship by a stronger St. Mary's Rochfortbridge outfit last Saturday afternoon. The team tried hard throughout but the old saying that 'goals win games' can be applied here, and 'The Bridge' proved more able at raising the green flag on the day. Final score 5-09 to 0-7. Panel: Cathal Daly, Liam McNally Woods, Alan Kincaid, Andrew Corbett, Johnny Birmingham (0-1), Liam Varley, Stephen Fagan, Conor Glennon, Shane Clavin (0-1), Frankie Deegan, Michael Heeney, Conor Lynch, David Pidgeon, David Keegan (0-5 all frees), Liam Cassidy, Dan Glennon, Pauric Kincaid.
Minor Championship
The minors played their final game in the round robin phase of the club championship last Sunday morning at Ballinagore. After a tight and hard fought game, our lads came out on top and they now qualify for the quarter final of the competition. Team: Michael Dever, Michael Heeney, Dean McDermott, Niall Gunning (Capt.), Liam Varley, David Lynch, Luke Peppard, Aonghus Clarke, Shane Clavin, Seán Mullarkey, Eoin Quinn, Alan Clarke, David Keegan, Niall O'Brien, Neal Kirby. Subs Used: Enda Claffey, Liam Cassidy, Alan Kincaid, Frankie Deegan.
Junior Championship
The junior team played the third round of the championship last Sunday morning in Ballymore. Short ten players we still managed to field a team and put in a huge effort, before the home side got into their stride. We have two points on the board from the St. Loman's game with The Downs still to be played. Team: Paul Seery, Niall Gannon, Pat Heduan, Robert Gannon (Capt.), Paddy O' Donoghue, Kieran Deegan, John Dalton, Pierce Corcoran 0-4 (2f), Ian Seery 0-1, Martin Crowe, Cathal Ennis 0-1, Michael Gannon, Gerry Claffey, Shane Heraty, JJ Hegarty.
Westmeath Ladies
Best of luck to Westmeath Intermediate Ladies in the All-Ireland final this coming Sunday in Croke Park. The Ballinagore area is well represented on the panel with villagers Triona Durkan, Fiona Claffey and Sarah Keegan on the panel, while Joanna Maher of Tyrellspass also lived in Ballinagore for a time. The Joint manager Alan Mangan is a past pupil of Ballinagore National School, and Sarah Dolan from Garrycastle ladies is a first cousin of team-mate Fiona Claffey. Its not often a Westmeath team plays in an All-Ireland final or that Ballinagore is so well represented on the big occassion, so we wish them all good luck and hope that as many locals as possible travel on Sunday.
