Senior League

We took to the field against Mullingar Shamrocks in the third round of the league played at Ballinagore last Sunday. We were competitive throughout but were missing too many players to make an impact on the scoreboard. It finished 2-15 to 1-6 in favour of the visitors. Team: Mark Doyle, Michael Gannon, Pat Heduan, Paul Maloney, Brian Sheerin 0-1, Ciarán Carey (Capt.), Kevin Gannon, Christy Maloney, Dan Gavin, Cathal Ennis 0-1, Shane Heraty, Wiilie Gavin, Martin Crowe 1-0, Declan Claffey 0-4 (3f), Nollaig Gannon.

Two of the Mullingar players were injured during the game. We wish them a speedy recovery.

The minors took on The Downs in the second round of the league, also played in Ballinagore last Sunday. After a tough and tight first half, our lads took control in the second moiety and won their first points in this years league.
